Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead independent risk and control based reviews of business areas and processes, and play a key role in the evaluation, ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the firm's operational risk framework. 
• Ensure operational risk is assessed and appropriate controls are put in place in relation to new products, businesses and processes.
• Facilitation of the risk and control self assessment program in conjunction with business functions where required.
• Preparation of operational risk reports for local and board reporting purposes.
• Assess the impact of local and global regulatory obligations from an operational risk perspective.

Suitable candidates must possess :

• Tertiary qualified (Law, Accounting, Finance or related) with 6 + years experience in operational risk in the financial services industry.
• Sound understanding of operational risk methodologies and principles within the financial services industry.
• Deep knowledge of corporate/institutional banking products and processes preferred.
• The role requires a candidate, who is an effective manager of senior stakeholder relationships, and able to see projects through to the end.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
