Task:

• Equity Research Analyst to analyse publically traded German and European Small and Mid-Cap companies
• Generalist role, sector agniostic
• Cover mainly German and European Small and Mid-Cap stocks as well as support of senior equity research analysts
• Coverage to include regular written output as well as financial models that are updated regularly and shared with paying clients
• Build first relationships to institutional investors in Europe (incl. UK)
• Build good working-level relationships with covered companies and, opportunistically, other SMIDs
• Support other departments of the banks in executing capital market-relevant transactions, e.g. IPOs
• Use relationships to corporates to generate business potential for the bank, including but not limited to roadshows and field trips
• Support team-wide efforts in the SMID team and possibly in other sector teams, if necessary
• Make efficient use of relevant software tools, e.g. Bluematrix and Symphony

Profile:

• University degree with a business focus; CFA, ACA, MBA, CIIA or CEFA post-graduate qualification would be desirable
• Expertise in financial analysis; proven ability to provide detailed and integrated P&L, balance-sheet and cash flow forecasts as well as thorough valuation know-how
• Strong initiative, creativity, diligence, curiosity
• Analytical understanding, fast learning skills, ability to work under severe pressure and good decision-making skills
• Confident and professional behaviour; convincing communication and presentations skills
• Team player
• Excellent written and spoken English skills, strong command of German
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as Bloomberg
